Flemington Neighbourhood Renewal Project

Recently, the state government initiated programs designed to 'narrow the gap' under the umbrella program of the 'Neighbourhood Renewal Project'. It's a $17.18 Million dollar project, designed to revitalise low income areas of the state, most notably areas with large concentrations of public housing. More specifically, Moonee Valley City Council has Identified six key objectives of the Flemington Neighbourhood Renewal Project:

  • Increasing employment and learning opportunities and building local economies
  • Improving housing and the physical environment
  • Improving personal safety and reducing crime.
  • Promoting health and wellbeing.
  • Increasing access to services and improving government response to community requirements.
  • Increasing pride and participation in the community.
The aim of  this project was to capture the faces of those working in the community that are making these outcomes a reality.
